Las Vegas, Sept. 19, 2016 – Greg Toscano, LUTCF, of Duluth, Minn., has been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors, a federation representing the interests of life insurance agents and financial advisors.
NAIFA’s representative governing body, the National Council, elected Toscano during the 2016 NAIFA Performance + Purpose Annual Conference in Las Vegas. As part of the Board of Trustees, Toscano will help formulate policy on behalf of the federation and the industry.
“NAIFA benefits from Greg’s experience and in-depth knowledge of the industry,” said NAIFA President Paul Dougherty, LUTCF, FSS. “The trustees and the National Council look forward to his leadership as NAIFA works to help shape the legislative and regulatory landscape in Washington, D.C., and in the states. We also will rely on Greg’s input on the development of new strategies, products and services that will help NAIFA members grow their businesses and position their practices for successful futures.”
Toscano has held all board and committee positions at the local and state levels of NAIFA-Lake Superior and NAIFA-MN, having served the state as president in 2005. He has served three years on the National Membership Committee and was co-committee head of the Membership Committee in Minnesota. He was NAIFA trustee from 2012-2014.
Toscano has traveled the state of Minnesota and regionally, speaking to local associations, conducting CE classes and moderating LUTC courses. He is a life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). His passion for NAIFA stems from a deep gratitude for the insurance and financial-services industry, the leaders who have “paved the way,” and for those who have mentored him. Toscano is a shareholder of Johnson Insurance Consultants, a locally owned, independent employee and executive benefits consulting firm.
